The Great Ocean Road Drive to 12 Apostles

On the weekend of 17th of May 2008, my two friends and I decided to take a 5-hour adventure drive to the 12 Apostles via the Great Ocean Road! The 12 Apostles is one of the famous tourists destinations in Australia located 275km west of Melbourne CBD. The trip was quite tiring but the scenic view along Great Ocean Drive Road facing the Great Southern Ocean and the Antarctic is spectacular that it rejuvenates your tired mind and body.

It was the panoramic view on the way to the final destination that made the travel magnificent. In fact, the trip proves to me the saying that “life is a journey not a destination” as when we arrive at our final destination we only stayed for a few minutes and have to drive back because of the heavy rains that started pouring followed by strong winds!  You can see in the following picture the dark ocean bringing the downpour.

And now here’s the sequence of the great scenes that you would see on the way.

First stop, one hour from Melbourne is the city of Geelong, the home of “Geelong Cats” the 2007 Champ of the Australian Football League.

A reminder to foreigners who came from a country that drives on the right hand side of the road like the Philippines and the United States!

I would like to recommend to everyone to visit the Great Ocean Road and The 12 Apostles in Victoria, Australia. It should be on your list of things to do before you die!

I agree. It’s a really beautiful place. You must do this before you die and go to hell. I say, enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realise they were the big things.

Maybe you mean left-hand drive like the Philippines, etc. And why is it there’s two Ocean in your title?

Is this related to Ocean’s 12? That was a great movie.
Will try to add some movie reviews on this site too? Want to see Indiana on the weekend?

Good thinking Mr Advisor. You’re right it sounds like related to Ocean’s 12. :)

Soon i will add a movie review category. Indiana would be nice to see in the Gold Class.
